For the 2nd day in a row, I took a nice walk in downtown Flagstaff. However, instead of a 2 hour grueling walk (with rest stops/texting breaks/cell phone calls), I only walked 1.7 miles today, in the sleet. I ended up back at my car just in time to attend Mass at the Church of the Nativity on Cherry and Beaver Streets. It's the first time I've been inside. This statue resides in the vestibule. The interior of the church is just like the old church in Cleveland, OH, where I grew up, and the old church in Phoenix that Mom and I used to attend.
Today is cold with snow flying off and on. Molly and I are resting on the couch and the footstool. She's keeping my legs warm and the computer is keeping my lap warm. I'm watching The Godfather Part 2 on the telly. Nice way to spend a cold day. Just ate a small lunch and will soon stop to pray and meditate.
I'm just starting to read a new book, THE SPIRITUALITY OF IMPERFECTION. Very philosophical and a little difficult to understand. All I know so far is that I have a lot to learn and a lot to give up. I am slowly learning to let my troubles go into the loving hans of God.
